Carl R. Amala

Partner Carl R. Amala has built a comprehensive complex litigation and dispute resolution practice at Harris, Wyatt & Amala, LLC, focusing on personal injury, insurance defense, and construction defect litigation. With considerable experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in civil litigation, Mr. Amala is also a well-respected arbitrator in the Willamette Valley. In recognition of his legal skill, the national directory of attorneys, Martindale-Hubbell, distinguishes Mr. Amala as an AV rated attorney, indicating the height of professional excellence and integrity.

After graduating from the University of Maryland in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Government and Politics, Mr. Amala earned a Juris Doctor from Willamette University College of Law in 1985, where he was an Associate Editor of the Willamette Law Review. Also in 1985, he was admitted to the Oregon State Bar, and in 1986, to the United States District Court, District of Oregon. Alongside membership to numerous professional associations, Mr. Amala serves on the Marion County Judicial Advisory Committee, the Marion County Medical/Legal Committee, the Marion County Arbitration/Mediation Board, and is a board member of the Board of Trustees of the Public Defender of Marion County, Inc., as appointed by the Oregon State Bar.
