Carl R. Amala is a partner in the law firm of Harris, Wyatt & Amala, LLC. After graduating from the University of Maryland in 1981 with a B.S. in Government and Politics, Mr. Amala earned a J.D. from Willamette University College of Law in 1985 where he was a member of the Law Review. In 1985 Mr. Amala was admitted to the Oregon State Bar and the U.S. District Court, District of Oregon. Mr. Amala’s practice focuses primarily on insurance defense, personal injury, wrongful death, and construction defect cases. With considerable experience on both the plaintiff and defendant sides of civil litigation, Mr. Amala is also a respected arbitrator in the Willamette Valley. Mr. Amala is an AV® rated attorney by Martindale Hubble. An AV® certification mark is a significant rating accomplishment - a testament to the fact that a lawyer's peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence.
Mr. Amala is a member of a number of professional associations, including the Oregon and Marion County Bar Associations, where he was a Past Vice President of the Marion County Bar Association Board of Directors. Mr. Amala is also a member of the Marion County Medical / Legal Committee, the Marion County Mediation Board, the Willamette Valley Inns of Court, the Marion County Judicial Advisory Committee, and is a Past Chairperson of the Marion County Court Practices and Procedures Committee. Mr. Amala is also a member of the Multnomah County Bar Association and the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel and has lectured on various insurance matters. |
